KUWAIT: Students from Bayan High School presented a collection of distinctive paintings inspired by the works of renowned Kuwaiti artist Sami Mohammed as part of the third “Naqsh” exhibition, currently being held at the Museum of Modern Art.
The artistic initiative aims to strengthen ties between younger generations and pioneers of Kuwait’s art movement, while fostering students’ creativity and visual awareness. The “Naqsh” exhibition is organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) in cooperation with Bait Al Sadu.
The exhibition features works by 32 students from Bayan High School, who produced a notable artistic output comprising 12 murals under the supervision of the Art Education Department. Through their participation, the students explored the artistic legacy of Sami Mohammed, translating his distinctive style and themes into contemporary student-led interpretations.
The “Naqsh” exhibition will remain open to the public at the Museum of Modern Art until December 31, offering visitors the opportunity to view the students’ artworks and engage with the creative experiences of young talents inspired by one of Kuwait’s leading artists, in a setting that combines art education with a celebration of national cultural identity. — KUNA
