KUWAIT: Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei on Tuesday emphasized the importance of utilizing all available resources to provide a safe and attractive learning environment that fosters high academic achievement. “All decisions and organizational procedures must prioritize the student’s best interests, considering both educational and psychological aspects,” he said.
The statement from the Ministry of Education followed an expanded meeting chaired by Al-Tabtabaei with educational and administrative leaders to assess school needs, monitor ongoing preparations, and address challenges ahead of the intermediate and secondary school exams. Al-Tabtabaei highlighted the crucial role of educational affairs directors in ensuring the effective implementation of decisions and instructions on the ground. He stressed the need to create a supportive school environment, reinforce adherence to regulations, identify obstacles, and address issues promptly to enhance performance quality.
He also underscored the essential role of educational stage supervisors as the “backbone” of policy implementation and a vital link between the Ministry and the field. Their work ensures rapid response to feedback, helps address challenges, and supports the quality of educational outcomes. The Minister called for attention to students’ psychological and educational needs, strict application of examination regulations, and fairness in enforcing school policies to maintain discipline and provide a stable environment for students to take exams with focus and confidence.
Regarding the rotation of middle and high school principals during exams, Al-Tabtabaei stressed organized administrative work, equitable task distribution, and the exchange of expertise to ensure continuity and prevent disruption to the examination process. He also encouraged an open-door policy, strengthened communication with educational bodies, active feedback collection, and increased field visits to monitor progress and meet school needs efficiently.
