Zain successfully renewed management system certifications across 6 ISO standards
KUWAIT: Zain Kuwait has successfully renewed management systems across six international standards set by ISO, further reinforcing its commitment to operational governance, compliance and the highest levels of quality across all departments. This achievement follows a comprehensive external audit conducted by an accredited, independent body which verified that Zain’s systems and operational infrastructure conform to global benchmarks.
This year, Zain maintained its certifications for Quality Management (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001), Occupational Health and Safety Management (ISO 45001), Information Security Management (ISO/IEC 27001), IT Service Management (ISO/IEC 20000-1) and Business Continuity Management (ISO 22301). For the second consecutive year, Zain achieved full compliance across all requirements with zero nonconformities. The company also highlighted ISO 37301:2021 as its seventh certification, assessed this audit period and recognized for significant continual improvement in its Compliance Management System. Its renewal audit is set for February 2026.
These results affirm Zain’s commitment to delivering services and products that meet customers’ expectations and ambitions, align with international regulatory frameworks, enhance environmental protection, strengthen information security and support business continuity, all of which elevate the overall customer experience. Zain takes pride in being among the first private-sector institutions in Kuwait to prioritize quality management and operational excellence, including being recognized with ISO certifications over the past three decades to ensure ongoing alignment with international standards.
From the outset of its journey, Zain obtained its first ISO in Quality Management Systems, laying the foundation for adopting best practices and global standards in the ICT sector. As its operations and services expanded, the company earned additional ISO certifications across key domains such as information security, business continuity, and environmental management.

ISO 9001 Quality Management
Commitment to a holistic system that assures service quality by controlling processes, measuring performance and addressing root causes of issues. The result is higher customer satisfaction, reduced waste, faster response and better experiences at every touchpoint.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management
Commitment to managing the environmental impact of corporate activities through compliance with regulations, efficient use of resources, and reduction of emissions and waste. The result is more efficient, sustainable operations that protect the environment and improve the carbon footprint.
ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety
A systematic framework to identify and reduce workplace risks, prevent incidents and injuries and foster a prevention-first culture. The result is a safer work environment, greater employee well-being and fewer unplanned stoppages.
ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management
Ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information by assessing risks and applying clear security controls. The direct outcome is fewer breaches and leaks and stronger trust in the protection of customer and partner data.
ISO/IEC 20000-1 IT Service Management
Adoption of best practices in service management such as incident, change and service-level management. This improves system reliability and stability, leading to more consistent digital services, shorter downtime and a better technology experience for users.
ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management
Readiness for emergencies and the restoration of critical activities within defined time objectives. The result is higher operational resilience and the ability to respond to unexpected events without affecting customers or business operations.
