Public, private sectors, governorates, students, volunteers promote responsible environmental behavior
KUWAIT: Zain Kuwait supported ‘This is Your Role’, a volunteer campaign organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs in collaboration with several public and private sector entities and volunteer groups. The campaign promoted environmental responsibility, a culture of sustainability and national belonging among school students across Kuwait’s governorates.
Zain joined the campaign’s closing ceremony, attended by the Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr Amthal Al-Huwailah; the Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei; Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governor and Acting Hawally Governor Sheikh Sabah Al-Bader Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, as well as Corporate Relations Department Manager at Zain Kuwait Hamad Al-Musaibeeh.
Zain’s support for this initiative stems from its commitment to strengthening a culture of sustainability and embedding positive behaviors related to environmental protection, safeguarding public facilities, and the responsible use of resources. This contributes to shifting sustainability from awareness messages into tangible daily practices led by everyone in the community, starting with schoolchildren.
The campaign saw broad participation that reflected a strong model of national partnership. Students, supported by educational bodies, volunteer teams, government entities and governorates, joined efforts in a path aimed at deepening the sense of responsibility and active citizenship, and reinforcing that protecting Kuwait’s environment is a shared duty that becomes strongest when society works hand in hand.
