KUWAIT: The KUNA Center for Media Capacity Development inaugurated its “Art of Reels Production” training program on Sunday, with participants representing the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Qatar News Agency (QNA), Kuwait University, the Public Authority for Youth, the Public-Private Partnership Projects Authority, the State Audit Bureau and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
Presented by trainer and content creator Abdullah Al-Mashouh, the program runs until December 11 and features a progressive curriculum beginning with defining reel objectives, selecting suitable topics and understanding social media algorithms. The training later advances to mastering mobile or camera-based video production. The program introduces participants to key mobile production and editing tools through practical examples and live demonstrations, during which trainees create their own content and analyze performance results. It also includes an introductory module on digital marketing.

A core component of the program focuses on enabling participants to produce effective 60-second reels aligned with platform algorithms to increase visibility, sharing and reach, support commercial growth through targeted short-form content, and build strong personal or institutional digital presence. Established in December 1995, the KUNA Center for Media Development is regarded as one of the region’s leading media training hubs.
