BRUSSELS: The Embassy of Kuwait in Belgium took part on Saturday in a charity bazaar organized by the Asia Pacific Women’s Association in the Belgian capital. Proceeds from the event were dedicated to supporting children and women in vulnerable areas, including those affected in Gaza and Sudan. The bazaar attracted a large number of diplomatic staff as well as Arab and European families and featured a variety of activities, including prize distributions, children’s programs, and booths offering an array of Asian and Arab cuisine. Traditional Arab products were also on display, creating a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.
The Kuwaiti Embassy showcased a range of local products, including traditional clothing, food items, handicrafts, cultural products, and traditional utensils, which were warmly received by visitors. In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Kuwait’s Ambassador to Belgium, Nawaf Al-Enezi, underscored the significance of such humanitarian initiatives, describing them as a means to foster community engagement and solidarity while assisting those in need. “These efforts reflect Kuwait’s long-standing commitment to humanitarian aid and its globally recognized role in supporting vulnerable communities,” Ambassador Al-Enezi said.
He expressed gratitude to volunteers, participants, and visitors, and acknowledged the support of Kuwait Petroleum International in facilitating the embassy’s participation. The ambassador emphasized that events like this highlight the positive impact of diplomatic missions in promoting humanitarian work and serving society. — KUNA
