MANAMA: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Shareeda Al-Maousherji, reaffirmed Thursday Kuwait’s unwavering commitment to active participation in Gulf forums. The statement was made to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) during his leadership of the Kuwaiti delegation at the 19th periodic meeting of the heads of Shura, Representatives, National, and People’s Councils of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Al-Maousherji highlighted Kuwait’s firm dedication to supporting the progress of GCC countries and enhancing joint efforts to consolidate stability and promote sustainable development across the region. He underscored Kuwait’s continuous focus on strengthening Gulf unity and fostering coordination among GCC states, reflecting the country’s belief in solidarity and integration as key tools to address regional challenges and achieve the aspirations of their peoples for security and prosperity.
He added that Kuwait’s approach prioritizes constructive dialogue and upholding the higher interests of the Gulf, reflecting the vision of the country’s leadership. Al-Maousherji praised Kuwait’s wise leadership for preserving Gulf unity and reinforcing the GCC’s role as a cornerstone of regional security and stability.
