KUWAIT: HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Tuesday inspected the project site of the new Kuwait International Airport Terminal (T2). HH the Prime Minister toured the site on the sidelines of the weekly Cabinet session held at the terminal. Accompanied by ministers during the tour, HH the Prime Minister was briefed by Minister of Public Works Dr Noura Al-Mashaan about the mega project.
He remarked that it is one of Kuwait’s mega development projects and stressed on the necessity that all government departments coordinate with the ministry of public works to handle any emerging hindrances to press ahead with the execution according to schedule. HH the Prime Minister expressed deep gratitude to Al-Mashaan, President of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, managers of the project, competent authorities, namely the ministries of interior and finance, the Audit Bureau, Fatwa and Legislation Department and the Central Agency for Public Tenders, for their role in speeding up the execution of the venture.

Al-Mashaan said the venture envisages establishing, furnishing and maintaining the new passenger terminal, building, furnishing and maintaining service buildings, roads leading to the new terminal and parking lots, in addition to similar works for the parking lots, runways and the service facilities. Sheikh Humoud spoke about the authority’s efforts and coordination with the project’s stakeholders. – KUNA
