Chinese Vice President meets Amir, holds talks with Crown Prince, visits Al-Salam Palace
KUWAIT: HH the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Sunday Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and his accompanying delegation on the occasion of his official visit to the country. The deep-rooted historical relations between the State of Kuwait and the friendly People’s Republic of China were touched on, as well as the latest regional and global developments.
HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also received Han before holding an official round of talks on Sunday in the presence of senior Kuwaiti and Chinese officials. During the talks, the deep-rooted historical relations between Kuwait and China were touched on, along with ways to develop and enhance the existing partnership at all levels in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries and the friendly peoples.
HH the Crown Prince then held a banquet in honor of Vice President Han and his accompanying delegation, who then paid a visit to Al-Salam Palace Museum. Upon arrival, the Vice President was received by General Supervisor Sheikha Mona Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, who accompanied him on a tour of the museum’s various sections. Han was briefed on the museum’s valuable collections, historical documents and key exhibits highlighting Kuwait’s rich history.
The tour also included the main sections of Al-Salam Palace Museum, the Museum of Kuwait’s History through its rulers, Al-Salam Palace’s History Museum and the Museum of Civilizations in Kuwait. He was accompanied during the visit by Minister of Public Works and Head of the Honorary Mission Dr Noura Al-Mashaan and Kuwait’s Ambassador to China Jasem Ibrahim Al-Najem. — KUNA
