EL-ARISH, North Sinai: The 19th Kuwaiti relief airlift arrived at El-Arish Airport in North Sinai on Sunday, carrying 40 tons of food and essential supplies for the Gaza Strip. Zaid Al-Shehab, representative of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), told KUNA that the shipment is part of the “Fazza for Gaza” relief campaign, organized by the KRCS in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense and Social Affairs. He emphasized that the campaign underscores Kuwait’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Palestinian people amid the humanitarian challenges caused by the ongoing Zionist occupation aggression in Gaza.
Al-Shehab highlighted that the campaign reflects Kuwait’s long-standing values of solidarity and generosity, and its principled stance in assisting the afflicted worldwide. He noted that this airlift marks the second such initiative, following last year’s relief bridge to Gaza, in line with directives from the Kuwaiti political leadership to support Palestinian brothers in the Strip. Expressing gratitude, Al-Shehab thanked Kuwaiti charitable societies involved in preparing the aid shipments, as well as the Kuwaiti Embassy in Egypt and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for facilitating the reception and rapid delivery of the aid to Gaza. — KUNA
The Red Crescent Society prepared the humanitarian supplies on this flight, provided by the Fadhail Association for Humanitarian Works, complementing previous aid efforts. To date, 19 Kuwaiti aid planes have been dispatched, including four to Jordan and 15 to Egypt. He added that the total aid sent through the second Kuwaiti airlift to Gaza has reached 400 tons of long-shelf-life food supplies, produced locally in coordination with the Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company. – KUNA
