KUWAIT: Kuwait Municipality on Monday announced the launch of a nationwide field campaign to inspect health and advertisement licenses in shops and ensure compliance with regulations across all commercial activities. Head of the inspection team in Ahmadi Governorate, Abdulaziz Al-Azmi, said in a press statement during a tour that the campaign aims to verify the validity of advertisement licenses and take necessary measures against violators.
Al-Azmi underscored the importance of obtaining or renewing advertisement licenses of all kinds to avoid fines of up to KD 5,000, noting that violation reports will be issued in cases of non-compliance, including failure to renew licenses or breaches of advertising regulations.
Municipality employees issue warnings to violators.
He revealed that the first inspection campaign in Ahmadi Governorate resulted in 47 violations at a shopping mall. The campaign, he said, will be followed by further field tours across all governorates, based on a timetable prepared by the Public Relations Department in coordination with relevant authorities. Al-Azmi called on business owners to adhere to municipal laws and regulations, stressing that inspection teams in all six governorates are committed to ensuring full compliance through regular field campaigns. — KUNA
