JEDDAH: The Kuwait Ports Authority participated in the 2nd Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference 2025 which concluded in the Saudi city of Jeddah on Thursday.Head of KPA’s delegation, Assistant Director General for Marine Operations Affairs and Shuaiba Port Eng. Fahad Al-Boos, said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday that the conference discussed the importance of the current and future maritime industry and technologies for enhancing maritime safety and efficiency.
The KPS’s participation came at the invitation of the General Authority for Transport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he pointed out, adding that the delegation also included Hussein Al-Subaie from KPA’s Handling, Security, and Safety Department. The two-day conference brought together a distinguished group of decision-makers, including ministers, ambassadors, and maritime industry leaders from around the world, to promote sustainability and innovation in the maritime sector.
Through expert panels, technical sessions and workshops, the conference tackled sustainable marine environment practices, maritime industry digitalization and security and maritime decarbonization. — KUNA
