KUWAIT: The Ministry of Interior (MoI), represented by the Criminal Security Sector, carried out an extensive security campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Khaitan with the participation of several government agencies. The campaign, launched under the direct supervision of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, comes as part of joint efforts to combat violations and negative practices.
In a statement on Saturday, the ministry said the campaign was conducted in cooperation with the General Fire Force, Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Public Works and the Environment Public Authority. The operation resulted in the closure of 19 shops for violating licensing conditions, issuing violations against unlicensed commercial activities, dismantling random street markets, removing mobile grocery stores, and arresting 26 violators.
The ministry noted that Sheikh Fahad instructed all concerned bodies to intensify monitoring efforts and take immediate and deterrent measures against violators, stressing the importance of firm enforcement of laws and regulations to curb illegal practices. The MoI reaffirmed its commitment to continue field campaigns in coordination with relevant authorities, in line with a comprehensive plan aimed at addressing violations, enhancing public security, and safeguarding society. — KUNA
