KUWAIT: Sudan’s Ambassador to Kuwait Awad Al-Karim Al-Rayyah Balla attended a ceremony Thursday evening honoring outstanding Sudanese students, praising Kuwait’s support for his country and urging youth to keep striving for success. The event, held at the Arab Open University Theater, was organized by the Sudanese Community’s Charitable Fund in cooperation with the Sudanese Teachers’ Association and under the patronage of the Sudanese Embassy in Kuwait. Parents, families, and guests of honor also attended, including Arab Open University Director Dr Mohamed Sayed.
In his address, Ambassador Balla expressed Sudan’s gratitude to Kuwait for its continuous assistance. “Sudan thanks Kuwait for the aid it has provided to the Sudanese people through the humanitarian bridge to alleviate the suffering caused by the aggression,” he said.
He added that the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development has contributed through two grants, one directed to education and health projects and another to water initiatives. The ambassador also voiced hope for peace in his homeland. “We wish for the defeat of aggression and for peace and security to prevail in Sudan,” he said, while praying for Kuwait’s continued “stability and prosperity.”
Turning to the students, he urged them to remain dedicated to their studies. “I encourage the outstanding students to exert more effort to complete their journey of success,” he said. The celebration highlighted the achievements of young Sudanese excelling in their education, drawing applause from their families and the wider community.
