KUWAIT: Kuwait Technical College (ktech) has announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Spain’s historic Club Atlético Osasuna, based in Pamplona, Spain. This milestone marks a historic achievement, as ktech becomes the first university in Kuwait and the Middle East to host a football academy.
The academy will connect ktech’s football teams with Osasuna, adopting the club’s training methodology and offering students professional opportunities in the Spanish league. This opens new horizons for ktech students to pursue careers that combine education and sports at the highest levels.
This partnership aims to merge sports with education through initiatives that promote youth development, global exposure and community engagement. The framework of collaboration includes: Educational and sports exchange programs: providing students and coaches with access to international best practices and experiences; Youth football development and support programs: enhancing students’ physical and mental skills, and preparing them to achieve their ambitions locally and internationally; and community initiatives to empower young talent: opening new pathways, whether through professional programs or participation in global tournaments and competitions.
Thus, this collaboration goes beyond sports; it serves as a genuine platform that unites education, empowerment and future-building for ktech students, while also creating opportunities for cultural exchange and global connectivity.
The first match between Atlético Osasuna and Real Madrid was held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, where the university’s logo appeared on Atlético Osasuna players’ official jersey as part of the sponsorship.
