JEDDAH: The Kuwaiti Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute on Monday signed a cooperation framework with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) aimed at strengthening joint collaboration in the diplomatic field. The signing ceremony took place at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah. The framework was signed on behalf of the institute by Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute, Ambassador Nasser Al-Subaih, while the OIC was represented by its Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Ambassador Yousef Al-Dubaie.
Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in training diplomats from OIC member states and organizing capacity-building programs to prepare specialized diplomatic cadres. The initiative seeks to enhance understanding of international issues within the framework of joint Islamic action and public diplomacy, while addressing common challenges faced by member states. This is the first cooperation framework signed between the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute and the OIC, and is expected to expand training opportunities and deepen dialogue on joint diplomatic work.

The agreement builds on the institute’s role in preparing and developing diplomatic personnel, as well as its track record of professional partnerships with regional and international diplomatic and academic institutions. The signing ceremony was attended by Kuwait’s Consul General in Jeddah and Permanent Representative to the OIC, Yousef Al-Tunib; Deputy Permanent Representative and Counselor at the Kuwaiti Delegation to the OIC, Counselor Turki Al-Daihani; and Diplomatic Attaché at the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute, Asmaa Al-Hajji. — KUNA
